Overview

About 42km northwest of Buon Ma Thuot, Yok Don National Park was established in 1991. With an area of 115,545 hectares, the park is the home of nearly 70 animal species including some endangered in Indochina as well as some worldwide endangered species. Nowadays, Yokdon has become the biggest reservation of wild elephants in Vietnam. There are 17 ethnic groups have been living here. The locals are mostly M’nong. Visitors can drink the traditional wine from a communal jug at the same time through long straws and enjoy gong show performed by old and young villagers.


  • We are picked up at Buon Ma Thuot in the afternoon, transfer to Seven-branch waterfall and take a walk to visit some ethnic villages.

    This evening is spent in bungalow.


  • Visit Yokdon National Park. It is the largest national park in Viet Nam and there are many precious species of animals and birds that are noted in the Red Book. Across Serepok river by boat. Start riding elephant deep in to the forests, through bushy forests, evergreen forests and transitional forests. We have chances to admire a lot of orchid species on the way. Back to Buon Ma Thuot in the afternoon.

Children Policy

  • From 12 years old up: pay as an adult.
  • From 5 – 11 years old: Pay 75%
  • Under 5 years old: Free of charge. However, only one under-five free admission per booking. If you have more than two under-five, from the second kid pays 50% each.

Please request in advance if you have a food allergy, you are a vegetarian, you observe Halal or diet menu. Some special requests might be applied with an extra charge:

  • Halal Lunch: 150,000VND(~7$)/Person.
  • Indian Lunch: 150,000VND(~7$)/Person.
  • Diet Menu: To be advised.

What to expect at your homestay:

  • Room includes bed (with mattress), mosquito net, fan, table and chairs, electrical lights and outlets… and a lovely window or balcony.
  • Outhouse is equipped with a clean, flushing toilet.

Extra payment for accommodation in a hotel on request:

  • 3-star hotel: 1,000,000VND(~43$)/Room (1-2 guests)
  • 4-star hotel: 1,400,000VND(~61$)/Room (1-2 guests)

During the tour, you might see some things that you don’t like, such as animals in cages (python, crocodile, frog…). Most of them are managed by local villagers for economic reasons. We don’t promote these activities and we don’t promise those activities in our tours. However, sometimes you will see them by accident on the way without our control. We hope to receive your understanding and sympathy. If you really don’t want this to happen during your tour, please contact us in advance so we can suggest you other suitable programs.
What to bring:

  • We suggest a small suitcase or backpack with comfortable clothes and shoes (sport shoes or flip-flops are fine), sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Larger luggage can be left at your hotel or with us!
  • Last but not least, bring yourself for a great experience!
