Overview

This trip provides a fantastic combination of the majestic splendor of Ha Noi, the lush rice terraces and the ethnic diversity of Sapa, the sublime beauty of Red River Delta and Ha Long Bay. This is an adventure to remember!


  • On arrival, meet with our guide and get transfer to the hotel for check-in. Free at your leisure. Overnight in Ha Noi.


  • Get pick-up for a city tour which is split into a morning and afternoon schedule, with a tasty lunch in between. We start to visit:

    ● Ho Chi Minh Complex: Completed in 1975, the complex includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

    ● The Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070. Inside are the stone steles mounted on the backs of turtles, inscribed with names of Vietnam best scholars.

    ● Museum of Ethnology: This museum is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples.

    ● Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake: The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan KiemLake, its history dating back to the 13th century. The temple is reached by crossing the The Huc Bridge which literally means the ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’. The Hoan Kiem Lake is the local point of the city and the source of many legends.

    ● One hour Cyclo Tour through the Old Quarter: Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers.

  • 08.30 leave Ha Noi for Van Long natural reserve. Upon arrival, we will have a sampan boat trip to discover the amazing scenery of this natural reserve. Continue onto Ninh Binh town with stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to Phat Diem. The Phat Diem Stone Cathedral is an extremely artistic, cultural and religious work of Luu Phuong commune, Kim Son district. The site is not only a harmonious combination between the architecture of Asian pagodas and European church but also shows skillful techniques of Vietnamese artisans since the 19th century (1875-1899). You can also visit the Kim Son local market which is well known for mats hand making. Drive back to Ha Noi for dinner before transferring to the train station for overnight journey to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.


  • Arrive early in Lao Cai at 06.00, get picked up by car uphill to Sa Pa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. 8:00am arrive at the chau long hotel and prepare to start trekking at 10:00am down the valley. Stop for a picnic lunch and continue to Ta Van village to visit Dzay minority people for a unique home stay in the village.


  • In the morning, start driving to visit Black H’Mong village of Lao Chai and Dzay village of Ta Van. After that, we continue our day of trekking takes you along local paths, up and down rice terraces and into the villages and homes of the local hill tribes, the Dzays, the Dzaos, the Hmongs, and the Tays. Picnic lunch by the stream before moving on to Ban Ho. Overnight with your Tay hill tribe family.


  • Short trek to the dirt road for the vehicle to ride back to Sa Pa. Free afternoon to explore SaPa town, with great shopping in the market. We are transferred by private vehicle in the late afternoon to Lao Cai for our overnight train to Ha Noi. Train at around 20:15 pm. Overnight on Train.


  • Arrive in early morning, transfer to the small hotel to rest until getting pick up for Ha Long. Transfer by road approximately four hours to the port of Ha Long. Hop aboard the traditional wooden junk and unwind over lunch as you glide along the jade green waters dotted with towering karsts. You’ll visit ancient limestone caves, swim in the salty waters and go exploring by kayak. Back on board, enjoy a sunset cocktail and dine on the bays fresh seafood. Overnight on board.


  • Transfer by daily boat to the one of the small beaches scattered among the bay and spend whole day kayaking or swimming in clean water. Having seafood (or BBQ) on the beach. At the end of the day, transfer back to the cruise for dinner. Overnight on boat.


  • Wake to the sun peeking over the horizon and see the bay at first light. Watch as vendors paddle their small sampans teeming with goods to the nearby boats and villages. Visit the Surprise Cave with its impressive limestone formations created over generations. Look for the sacred turtle, the giant Buddha and the frog on the rock! Arrive back into the port around midday for a quick lunch and then return to Ha Noi. Overnight in Ha Noi.


  • Transfer to the airport for the flight to Sai Gon. Tour ends.

Children Policy

  • From 12 years old up: pay as an adult.
  • From 5 – 11 years old: Pay 75%
  • Under 5 years old: Free of charge. However, only one under-five free admission per booking. If you have more than two under-five, from the second kid pays 50% each.

What to expect at your homestay:

  • Room includes bed (with mattress), mosquito net, fan, table and chairs, electrical lights and outlets… and a lovely window or balcony.
  • Outhouse is equipped with a clean, flushing toilet.

During the tour, you might see some things that you don’t like, such as animals in cages (python, crocodile, frog…). Most of them are managed by local villagers for economic reasons. We don’t promote these activities and we don’t promise those activities in our tours. However, sometimes you will see them by accident on the way without our control. We hope to receive your understanding and sympathy. If you really don’t want this to happen during your tour, please contact us in advance so we can suggest you other suitable programs.
What to bring:

  • We suggest a small suitcase or backpack with comfortable clothes and shoes (sport shoes or flip-flops are fine), sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Larger luggage can be left at your hotel or with us!
  • Last but not least, bring yourself for a great experience!
