This is the ultimate Mekong Delta adventure. Skip the touristy routes and journey straight to Cai Rang, the largest and most authentic floating market in Viet Nam. Yes, it means an early start — but watching the river burst into life at sunrise, with boats brimming with tropical fruits and vendors trading right on the water, is an experience you’ll never forget. A rare chance to witness the Delta’s culture in its most vibrant and unforgettable form.
Your guide and driver will pick you up early (between 5:00–5:30 a.m.) for the 3-hour drive to Can Tho, with a short stop for refreshments along the way.
Upon arrival, board a motorboat and cruise the waterways to reach the bustling Cai Rang Floating Market, where boats loaded with fruits and vegetables gather for trade. Step aboard a local floating home, enjoy fresh tropical fruit, and savor a traditional noodle soup breakfast right on the river.
Next, explore a lively flea market, visit a cottage industry workshop to see how rice paper and noodles are made, and stroll through a fruit garden to taste seasonal delights like pineapple, star apple, dragon fruit, and mango. Before leaving Can Tho, stop at a famous pagoda for a cultural touch.
On the way back, pause at Cai Be Village for lunch at a local house. Your host will demonstrate how to cook a simple Vietnamese dish, which you can help prepare before enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal. Afterward, either relax at the house or join a short cycling trip through the village to experience authentic Delta life.
Finally, relax on the 2.5-hour drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving around 4:00–5:00 p.m. End of services.
