Vũng Tàu, an old port town to the southeast of Sài Gòn, was developed under the French as a seaside resort called Cap Saint Jacques. Today, Vũng Tàu is a popular weekend getaway for Sài Gòn residents.
Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive about 2 hours to Vũng Tàu. Enjoy scenic landscapes en route. On arrival, drive to visit.
● Thích Ca Phật Đài Pagoda: This is a hillside park of monumental Buddhist statuary built in the early 1960s. It is a must-see site for domestic tourists.
● Lighthouse: The 360 degree view of the entire hammer-head-shape peninsula from the lighthouse is truly spectacular, especially at sunset.
● Giant Jesus: This 32m-high giant Jesus statue was constructed in 1974. The statue can be reached on foot by a path that heads up the hill.
● White Villa: The Villa Blanche is a former royal residence set on a lushly forested hillside overlooking the sea. It was built in 1909 as a retreat for French governor Paul Doumer. It later became a summer palace for Vietnamese royalty: King Thanh Thai the reigning monarch of the Nguyen Dynasty at the time. From the late 1960s to early 1970s, the building was a part-time playground for South Vietnam President Thieu.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant, followed by relaxing time on the Vung Tau beach. Free evening at your leisure. Overnight in Vũng Tàu.

● Thang Tam Temple & the Whale Tomb: discover the story of the three men who led three villages’ inhabitants to Vung Tau and see the great bones of whales picked up from 100 years ago.
● Linh Son Co Tu: the most ancient pagoda in Vung Tau.
After that, we drive back to Sài Gòn and have lunch on the way at a local restaurant. Arrive in Sài Gòn in the afternoon, drop you at your hotel. End of services.
