Different from other day trips to the Mekong Delta, we designed this package for those who want to explore the Mekong River by cruising. You are not only visiting the local cottages and traditional workshops, or cycling under shady tropical fruit gardens; you can also board a local motorboat for a 3,5 hour cruise downstream on the Mekong River from Cái Bè village to one of the biggest Mekong branches in Mỹ Tho. This will give you the best way to understand about the local culture and its people, whose lives have been attached to this water for hundreds of years.

● Visit a traditional workshop where they produce coconut candies, pop-rice, rice paper, or rice wine…

● Upon arrival, we will visit a flea market before cruising along a vast network of canals and channels to enjoy wonderful views of the Mekong River. Stop by a house-boat at the floating market for having fresh fruits, and see how locals do their business on water.
● In your visits to some local cottage industries you can see a coconut candy workshop, try some snake wine, and learn how to make pop-rice, or witness the process of making rice paper.
● Cross to the other side of the Mekong River to a famous island named Tân Phong. Here we visit a tropical fruit garden, listen to Vietnamese traditional music, and slowly enjoy getting in touch with local life by taking a hand-rowing sampan.
● Lunch will be served at a local house. Your host will show you a cooking demonstration and you can challenge yourself by cooking a traditional Vietnamese dish — and then enjoy your wonderful lunch afterwards.
● After that, we can choose to take a rest at the house or take a cycling tour about 30 minutes around the village.
Return to the house, say goodbye to your hosts, and board a motorboat for a 3,5 hour cruise to Mỹ Tho. Disembarking the cruise, we drive another 1,5 hours back to Hồ Chí Minh City and complete the tour excursion by taking you back to the pickup point. End of services.

We don’t promote these activities and we don’t promise those activities in our tours. However, sometimes you will see them by accident on the way without our control.
