Begin at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace area, Ho Chi Minh’s House-on-Stilts, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda. Continue to the Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 and later home to Viet Nam’s first national university, where peaceful courtyards and historic stone steles reflect the country’s long tradition of education and scholarship.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology, where fascinating exhibits and traditional houses introduce the customs, lifestyles, and cultural diversity of Viet Nam’s 54 officially recognized ethnic groups.
Later, return to the heart of Ha Noi and discover Hoan Kiem Lake. Walk across the iconic red The Huc Bridge to visit Ngoc Son Temple, beautifully situated on a small island in the lake. Complete your day with a one-hour cyclo ride through the Old Quarter, passing narrow streets, old shop-houses, local vendors, and the lively “36 Streets” that capture the everyday rhythm of the capital.
