Nestled on the edge of the Mekong Delta, My Tho – Ben Tre is one of the region’s liveliest cities, surrounded by winding rivers, lush coconut palms, and peaceful Buddhist pagodas. This tour is a wonderful introduction to life in the Delta, where traditions, waterways, and warm hospitality come together for an unforgettable experience.
Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel for a 1.5-hour drive to My Tho, with a short stop along the way for refreshments.
Upon arrival, board a motorboat to cruise the river and see the four famous islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix. Cross to the opposite bank to visit a traditional workshop, where you can watch how coconut candies are made—and taste them fresh. Continue to a local family’s home, where musicians welcome you with folk songs, tea, and seasonal fruits. Then, relax on a hand-rowed sampan through leafy canals before taking a Xe Loi (a local tuk-tuk-style ride) through village paths.
Enjoy a Vietnamese 5-course lunch at a riverside restaurant (vegetarian, Halal, or allergy-friendly meals available on request). After lunch, take a short break before visiting the serene Vinh Trang Pagoda, a 19th-century temple with impressive Buddha statues and beautiful architecture.
Finally, return to Ho Chi Minh City by car, arriving back at your hotel in the late afternoon. End of services.
