Beaches in Việt Nam are popular spots of tourists and locals looking to escape the bustling city life. Travelers will find that no two beaches are the same, ranging from bustling Nha Trang Beach, for tourists looking to stay in the center of all the action, to the more remote Quy Nhơn, that’s popular among adventurous travelers.

Aside from over 3,000 km of soft sands and clear waters, Việt Nam also has plenty of secluded coves and islets fit for snorkeling, island-hopping and scuba diving. On your supposed North-East journey, it’s quite easy to realize Đồng Hới, a nice small town of Quảng Bình province alongside Nhật Lệ River. Just about 15 kilometers from the Imperial city of Huế, Thuận An Beach is a brilliant stretch of white to off-yellow sand, ideal for a swim in the sea. Lăng Cô Beach is the 30th member of the Club “The most beautiful beaches in the world” in June 2009, also being recognized as the most tourism attraction for tourists to Huế. Located on the central coastal strip, Lăng Cô highlights itself as the ideal place for tourists relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the ocean with about 10km in length, white sand, blue sea, next to the vast rainforest on the hills and a large mysterious Lập An lagoon (800 hectares). With average temperature about 25oC in the summer, from April to July is the best season to take a tour to the beach.

Coming to Lăng Cô, tourists have opportunities to immerse in various entertainment activities such as sunbathing, chasing sand crab, kite flying, and biking along the coast in the afternoon. Specifically, tourists can gather together in the campfire, listen to waves of the ocean at night, and wake up early to admire the beautiful dawn on the horizon. The charming Lăng Cô beach also embodies its natural beauty through two reputable attractive scenes in Huế, Lăng Cô fishing village, Lập An lagoon, Chân Mây beach and Mơ waterfall.

Located near Đà Nẵng city center, Mỹ Khê beach is the popular rendezvous for local people and tourists alike, especially in the summer. Quy Nhơn in Bình Định province is recognized as one of the three tourism hubs of Việt Nam’s south central coastal region along with Đà Nẵng and Nha Trang. The town is blessed with a 42km long coastline, diverse topography comprising mountains, forests, salt marshes, plains, lagoons, lakes, rivers, peninsulas and islands, abundant seafood and natural resources.


The best time to visit Quy Nhơn is from January to August, when the weather is relatively warm most of the time. As summer comes, starting in April the weather will get gradually warmer.


September to December is the rainy season. There will be more rain and potentially some storms, which can prevent you from going on boat tours or exploring the town fully.

The best time to visit Con Dao Islands is during the dry season (November to February), but if you’re looking to see turtles nesting on Hòn Bảy Cạnh Island, visit between June and September. February till July is ideal for diving excursions as the waters around Côn Đảo have visibility averaging between 20 and 30 metres.
